If a manufacturer is in trouble, the most interesting design will be. One is willing to take risks. Furthermore, at Opel seems to emerge slowly, a certain chic. If one thereby, the individual models would something more reconcile, this could be one of the keys to a revival. To this category belongs (besides the Astra) also the Mokka from the Opel workers in Germany accompanied with one laughing and one crying eye, the latter regarding the production facility.

The name creates already somewhat astonishment, although you get used to such names faster than you think. One would have to require, however, that there is then beside the gray and white also a brown color at no extra charge and need not be paid extra 530 euros.

Since we are already at the price list and the data, one can only advise Opel these to revise once again. Perhaps the confusion is even desired because the Opel cars come along recently maybe a little chubby. There the kerb weight will be specified in the prospectus with 1335-1490 kg indicative of the optional all-wheel drive and the many heavy extras. Elsewhere, one indicates the empty weight with 1447-1501 kg. In addition, the payload is incorrect as the difference to the total weight.

SUVs get their effect not necessarily due to the greater length but rather from the width and particularly the height. Opel shows at the first presentation in Geneva (see video below) already at two cars exhibited possible ways out of space problems, the roof box and the bike rack. The latter is also noteworthy. You know him already as easily usable drawer below the luggage compartment. But here it additionally offers an electrical connection for pedelecs.

So completely without drawbacks the Mokka is obviously not. Sun be criticized the view to the rear and the volume level at higher speeds. The seat interior and the no-cost start-stop system receive praise.
